what are the network types and explain(DCCN-4)

Network types

-The computers are interconnected to information among them which can for mean a computer N/w.
-the computer network type is 3 types:
                                                                 1.LAN(Local area network)
                                                                 2.MAN(Metropolitan network)
                                                                 3.WAN(Wild area network)

LAN(Local area network)

-LAN is usually private own network in which the computers are interconnected in a room or so many in a building or so many building on a campus with in a  specific geographic area depended the on organisation.
-LAN can be as simple as two computer pointer in some one office and it can extent to through out of the company.
-now days LAN size is the imitated to few kilometers.
-LAN are designed to allow resources to be share among them  multiple number of valid user.
-LAN is different for other network by their transmission and topology in a general n/w is coaxial cable and twisted pair cable use in transmission medium.
-the most common topology is the star, bus and ring topology.
-the data rate is 4-10 Mbps of  LAN network.

MAN(Metropolitan area network)

-The MAN network(metropolitan area network) is the high speed network(broadband) that covers to large geographic area such as city(tens to kilometers).
-These network design is extent over the entire city its may be a single network such as cable television network is may be connection of no of man which is form of long network so resources sharing LAN to LAN and devices to devices.
-MAN is only own to the own to private company such as telephone network.
